About the apprenticeship


The role of a Data & Technology Team Apprentice involves supporting the Data & Technology in their key task of providing accurate, relevant and timely data to the respective departments within FLS in order to support the business. Data and oversight are at the heart of the FLS business and in order to provide these effectively, the Sata & Technology team requires additional administrative support both to ensure they are well-planned and well-resourced to provide the key data to the business in accordance with agreed deadlines in advance of meetings and also to assist in meeting follow up.

Key tasks
• Supporting the Data Director on all IT related tasks
• Dealing with staff IT support calls - email or telephone
• Adding data to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• Assist with generating key client data for weekly/monthly review
• Assist with generating key supplier data for monthly review
• Maintenance and update of run sheets and quote sheets
• Co-ordination of daily sales data and KPIs for morning meetings
• Update of run sheets according to assignment progress
• Obtaining signed proofs of delivery and/or timesheets for assignments completed
• Adherence to FLS service model for key client deliverables and timescales
• Supporting other team members in meeting their objectives

Additional information

• The role will encompass an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or similar)
• This will require all tasks to be completed in the allocated timeframe and to a high standard, meeting Training Company deadlines and expectations
• An awareness of the activities of all supporting departments and activities will be included – finance, data & technology, marketing and client solutions as well as operations



• Team player – working with other team members to ensure all customer loads are filled each day
• IT literacy – basic IT skills including ability to use Excel, Word, Outlook and internal data systems
• Communication skills – both verbal and written (high degree of email and telephone traffic)
• Organisation and prioritisation of tasks
• Keeping colleagues and customers updated of progress
• Determination and willingness to see a task through to completion
• Desire to succeed and progess through Apprenticeship into longer term career with FLS
