If you want to work behind a bar or in a customer facing role this Apprenticeship may be for you.
Working in the bar area, you may be employed in various licensed hospitality premises undertaking a range of activities such as serving food and drink, taking payment, working in the cellar, and stock taking, marketing, training and motivating other staff, monitoring company accounts, as well as other activities.
You must be prepared to work unsociable hours, in often busy and noisy premises and demonstrate an enthusiasm for working in the sector and be positive and friendly.
Much of the skills and knowledge covered within the framework are transferable across the hospitality sector. For example:

Licensed hospitality apprentices must be aged 16 or over.
Experience of working in the licensed hospitality industry would be beneficial if looking to be registered on this apprenticeship framework.
Pathway options and levels
Licensed Hospitality - Level 2
Pathway 1: Supports the job roles of Barperson (leased and tenanted), Barperson (managed house), Barperson (wine/cocktail bar), Assistant Bar Manager, Barperson (Nightclub venue) and Waiter/Waitress.
Licensed Hospitality Management - Level 3
Pathway 1: Supports the job roles of Bar Manager, Barperson (leased and tenanted), Barperson (managed house), Barperson (wine/cocktail bar), Assistant Bar Manager, Barperson (nightclub venue), Waiter/Waitress, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, Bar Team Leader and Shift Manager.
