If you have a keen interest in working in a warehousing business in the logistics sector, enjoy team working, willing to work shifts and a good timekeeper this may be the career for you.
Foundation Apprentices work as warehouse pickers/packers, loaders and with appropriate training, fork lift truck operators. You take on more responsibility including junior team leader roles
You would undertake a range of duties which may involve working alone or team working and include loading/unloading of vehicles and selecting and packing customer orders, ensuring goods are ready for dispatch on time.
If you progress to a Senior Warehouse role, you would undertake additional responsibilities for looking after teams and ensure tasks are completed on time in line with organisational and customer requirements.
This framework will provide opportunities to move into Level 3 jobs and training in Warehousing and into the wider logistics industry.
Employers are interested in applicants who have basic literacy and numeracy skills on which this apprenticeship will build on.

- With further in-house/external development programme (CPD) accredited/non accredited into the following jobs at level 3: Team Leader/ Warehouse Manager /Transport Manager.
- Foundation degree in logistics, transport planning, logistics operations and administration following further training and development.
Level 3 Routes include:
- Employment
- Apprenticeship/Higher Apprenticeship in any of the following: Management Higher Apprenticeship/ Purchasing and Supply Management Higher Apprenticeship.
- With further in-house/external development programme (CPD) accredited/non accredited into the following jobs: Warehouse Manager/Transport Specialist.
- Foundation degree in logistics, transport planning, logistics operations and administration following further training and development.
- Higher education programmes such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business and Management.
