About the apprenticeship

Duties

The school is looking to recruit an Administrative Office Apprentice, to work alongside experienced administrative staff, and to undertake the following tasks:
Maintaining/updating office systems, including data management and filing
Answering phone calls
Welcoming and meeting visitors
Organising and managing diaries
Providing general administrative support to school staff
Organising and attending meetings
Screening phone calls and enquiries, and dealing with them when appropriate
Sending and distributing mail
Liaising with parents and staff
Maintaining/updating online school systems

Essential Criteria:
Welsh – essential written and spoken skills (Level 4+)

Willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills relevant to children and adults
Good organisational skills
Willingness to work as part of a team
Reliable
Professional attitude
A level of maturity will be required when working in a school environment
Punctual, with the ability to manage time well

Desirable Criteria:
Good telephone skills
Smart appearance
Ambitious and hardworking
Willingness to be a role model of positive behaviour for young people
