About the apprenticeship

Duties

What the team do:
The Customer Service team helps residents access council services quickly and efficiently. The team is often the first point of contact, handling enquiries by phone, email, online and in person. They also support the council’s complaint-handling process by listening to concerns, recording complaints accurately, providing clear information about next steps and ensuring issues are passed to the appropriate service for investigation.
The team’s role is to provide clear, friendly support and ensure residents get the help they need.

What you will get involved with:
• Meeting and greeting visitors at reception
• Providing helpful information and support to customers
• Handling general telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately
• Recording and allocating enquiries on internal systems for response
