About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Assist engineering technicians with routine maintenance and repairs
• Support breakdown response and fault-finding on machinery and equipment
• Help with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Learn to read basic engineering drawings and manuals
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of equipment
• Maintain tools, spares and a safe working environment
• Follow all health, safety and site procedures at all times
Requirements
Skills
• Strong interest in engineering, mechanics, or electrical systems
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills
• Commitment to completing the Apprenticeship programme
Qualifications
• Engineering-related qualifications (e.g. GCSEs/A-levels/BTEC in Maths, Science, Engineering)
• Previous hands-on or workshop experience
• Mechanical, electrical, or technical hobbies
