About the apprenticeship
Duties
● Prepare quality meals for guests
● Health and safety checks/food rotation
● Food to the tables in an acceptable time
● Checking deliveries
● Working to food/menu specifications
● Kitchen cleaning
● Working with Front of House
Requirements
Skills
The right candidate should be able to work on individual tasks or part of a team. They should have excellent culinary skills and take pride in food presentation. Working in a kitchen can be demanding therefore, a candidate needs to have a cool head under pressure. This person needs self-motivation, an eye for detail and prepared for busy shifts.
Food hygiene is essential in every day tasks and being responsible for ensuring checks in stock rotation and recording other Health and Safety requirements which is essential for the daily running of a kitchen.
This role would be perfect for anyone wanting to learn this trade, or a person wishing for a career change.
Qualifications
GCSE English language/literature D or above
Maths D or above
Driving licence an advantage because of remote location
