Duties
Are you looking to build a hands-on career outdoors? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Highways Operative to join our Highways Maintenance Team and learn essential skills to help keep our roads and communities safe.
This is a fantastic chance to gain practical experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and achieve a nationally recognised qualification in highways maintenance.
What you’ll do:
• Support the repair and maintenance of roads, footways, cycleways and drainage systems
• Assist with pothole repairs, paving, kerbing and surface treatments
• Help install and maintain road signs, barriers and street furniture
• Learn to use tools, plant and machinery safely
• Assist with traffic management and site safety set-up
• Carry out basic inspections and report issues
• Maintain a safe, clean and secure working environment

Qualifications
