About the apprenticeship
Duties
Are you passionate about sport, health and helping others? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Health, Sport and Fitness Apprentice to join our team and support programmes that improve wellbeing across Torfaen.
This role will give you the chance to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification, helping to deliver activities that make a real difference in the community.
What you’ll do:
• Support the delivery and development of sport, fitness and wellbeing programmes
• Assist with events, activities and coaching sessions across the borough
• Help promote programmes and share success stories through social media and other channels
• Work with targeted groups to encourage participation in physical activity
• Support young people interested in volunteering, coaching and leadership opportunities
• Assist with monitoring and evaluating programmes and projects

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with people of all ages
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and complete training as part of the apprenticeship

Requirements
Skills
Anyone aged 16 or over can complete an apprenticeship qualification. There is no maximum age limit.
16-year-olds will need to have completed their final GCSE year at school before starting an apprenticeship
You must be prepared to undertake training, spending a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying, including outside of working hours.
