This role is based in Chepstow and is a full-time position. As part of the Apprenticeship, you will be required to travel to Cardiff to sit exams (a total of 4 exams over the 12-month Apprenticeship programme). About the apprenticeship
Duties
This is more than just an entry-level role. You will receive hands-on training, work closely with experienced finance professionals, and have the opportunity to gain recognised accounting qualifications while earning a competitive salary.
This role would suit a motivated school or college leaver who is keen to learn, enjoys working with numbers, and is looking to build a long-term career in finance. Working within the finance team, the Apprentice will gain exposure to all 4 companies within the group, and will undertake tasks such as:
Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders.
Assisting with sales invoicing and customer account administration.
Recording receipts and payments accurately within the accounting system.
Supporting credit control activities and customer account reconciliations.
Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations.
Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
Posting nominal journals.
Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
Supporting month-end accounting processes.
Assisting with data analysis and management reporting.
Handling finance-related queries from customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Undertaking administrative duties to support the finance department.

GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above)
