About the apprenticeship
Duties
· Will be a great sporting role-model for our children.
· Can organise and run safe, structured and enjoyable activities at breakfast clubs, breaks and lunchtimes.
· Will be able to support teachers while they deliver PE lessons.
· Will also provide general support within other classes as a teaching assistant when required
· Can organise and run sport and fitness sessions after school for children of all ages and abilities.
· Support and lead on the sport leader/volunteer scheme with pupils.
· Support teachers with organising and maintaining equipment, following latest government guidance.
· Support PE staff with attendance at events, festivals and competitions.
· Provide knowledge of physical literacy approach embedded within PESSPA
· Encourage new whole school initiatives to improve ‘health and wellbeing’ such as the ‘daily mile’
· Work with partners to offer a wide range of holistic sport and physical activity clubs
· Provide alternate education provision opportunities through sport.
· Support feeder schools participation and transition to secondary school through sport and physical activity events and initiatives.
Additional information
Minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Training can be provided)
Level 2 Coaching Certificate / Equivalent (Training can be provided)
