About the apprenticeship
Duties
The Finance Apprentice will work within Drive's Finance Team, supporting the delivery of an efficient, accurate and customer-focused finance service across the organisation while studying towards a recognised AAT qualification.
Main duties will include:
• Processing invoices and financial transactions accurately.
• Supporting bookkeeping and accounting records.
• Assisting with purchase and sales ledger activities.
• Supporting bank reconciliations and financial controls.
• Helping to process colleague expenses and finance-related administration.
• Using Microsoft Excel and finance systems to maintain records and produce reports.
• Supporting budgeting, management reporting and month-end activities as knowledge develops.
• Maintaining accurate records and handling information confidentially in line with Drive policies and GDPR requirements.
The Apprentice will work closely with experienced finance professionals, gaining practical workplace experience across a range of finance functions whilst developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a successful career in finance and accounting

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in accounting and finance while working towards a fully funded AAT qualification. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues, develop valuable workplace skills and gain real responsibility from day one.

Requirements
Skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• An interest in finance, accounting or business.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and data.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous customer service, administration, office or volunteering experience would be beneficial.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel or spreadsheets would be advantageous.
• Welsh language skills welcomed but not essential.
This is broad enough for an Apprentice role whilst still reflecting the qualities you're looking for.
Qualifications
Essential
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Desirable
• A-Level, BTEC or equivalent qualification in a business-related subject
