About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Process invoices, journals and other day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Assist with payroll administration and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with VAT preparation and ensure transactions are correctly coded.
• Help prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Respond to finance queries, maintain organised records and support the wider accounts team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Accountant who is keen to learn and develop their skills within a busy finance team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who is willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities, with a positive and flexible approach to their work.
You should be organised, reliable and have good attention to detail, with an interest in developing a career in accountancy. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are important, as well as being confident in asking questions and seeking guidance when needed.
We value someone who is willing to have a go at anything, embraces new challenges and is not afraid to learn from their mistakes. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues will be highly regarded.
Previous experience is not essential; we are more interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop.

Completion of AAT Level 2 Accounting or equivalent A Level Accounting or relevant qualification
