Aspire is a shared apprenticeship programme that is funded by WelshGovernment and managed by the Local Authority. The programme
works with companies within the Engineering/Advanced Manufacturing
sector and companies with a STEM related purpose.

What type of jobs can apprentices expect to be doing
The roles are diverse and with the programme being a Shared
Apprenticeship Programme, the apprentice is likely to experience
various elements of work within their workplace. We have a range of
apprentices carrying out duties such as Welding and Fabrication, CNC,
CAD design, Electronics, Robotics, Commercial Support and many more
Benefits available
All apprentices will be gaining a Level 3 qualification (minimal) and will
get a magnitude of support form the Aspire mentors and various
partners
What do we look for in an applicant
Applicants must be aged 16-24 and have at least 5 GSCE grades A-C
inluding STEM subjects. We also look for applicants who have an ALevel
pass in STEM subjects, are starting or have finished VNQ in
college, or those who have completed the Enhanced Engineering
Programme or Pathways to Apprenticeships
How much are apprentices paid
Apprentices are all studying at level 3 of above so we endeavor to pay
over NMW. This is discussed at initial induction and will be agreed with
the Host Employer

We recruit based on the sector needs, meaning that we can recruit all
year round
