Company overview

Deloitte is a leading professional services firm and has had a base in Cardiff for over 100 years. The majority of our people in Wales work in our Cardiff Delivery Centre, a strategic hub for our business that provides specialist and administrative support services and offers exceptional career opportunities.

Opportunities offered

We offer two apprenticeship programmes: Business Administration (entry level) which leads to a City & Guilds L3 Diploma in Business Administration and BrightStart (higher level) as an alternative to university.

What type of jobs can apprentices expect to be doing

From the outset, our apprentices work on live projects.

Business administration apprentices join our Cardiff Delivery Centre teams that work across the business and deliver support services such as quality and risk management, financial crime, compliance, and administration, as well as several specialist operations to support our client-facing people across the UK.

Benefits available

We offer the training, study and support apprentices need to become a success. Our blended approach includes e-learning, classroom study, 1:1 coaching, day-to-day support and, as people progress, technical and skills training to help them develop further.

Our Business administration apprentices have study time factored into their working week, enabling them to attend Cardiff & Vale College during normal working hours and have the support framework to support their success. Each apprentice has a designated mentor at work, support from college staff for the academic side, access to college facilities and opportunities to attend external events. They also receive an NUS card from the college.

What do we look for in an applicant

We are looking for candidates who are quality and detail focused, demonstrate initiative, can work in teams or independently, and have good cognitive ability.

Business administration requirements: 5 GCSEs including at least grade 4 in English language and maths.

BrightStart: at least 104 UCAS points, grade 4 English language GCSE; grade 6 maths GCSE.

How much are apprentices paid

We are an accredited living wage employer meaning all our people, including apprentices, are paid above benchmark salaries which are based on the same hourly rates as the Real Living Wage.

BrightStart - applications open in November and close in mid-March, with successful applicants starting in September.
