Mechanical Engineering Apprentices
What type of jobs can apprentices expect to be doing
The apprentice will gain the ability to read and understand engineering
drawings, then interpret the drawings to manufacture components to the
correct dimensions and specification using computer numerical
controlled turning and milling centres, using a range of inspection
equipment at their disposal.
Benefits available
The apprentice will gain a nationally recognised qualification in an
Engineering discipline and be trained to programme and set a variety of
computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining centres. Offered a full
time position as CNC machinist on successful completion.

The company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual
with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career. The company are
looking for someone with a positive, highly self-motivating, can-do
attitude while working in a safe manner from someone who isn’t afraid to
ask questions.
How much are apprentices paid
Starting at £10,000 per year, rising annually subject to performance and
age.
