Machinist Programmer / Setter / Operator

What type of jobs can apprentices expect to be doing

The role will involve using manual and CNC milling and turning machines, programming new design components from engineering drawings and editing existing programmes to producing finished parts. High levels of attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to use manual measuring equipment to check their own work.

What do we look for in an applicant

Initially a candidate with an enthusiasm and interest in developing a career in engineering, either based on their personal hobbies and interests or from studying for an engineering course/qualification at school or college. However, it's essential the person has the right work ethic and discipline in order to succeed.

How much are apprentices paid

Between £4.30 and £5.00 per hour depending on the candidates qualifications and background.
