About the apprenticeship

Duties

To assist in the preparation and production of the three payrolls for the City and County of Swansea via the Oracle Fusion system and using other systems such as Teachers Pensions, EWC, GOSS, Altair (Pensions), Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
To accurately maintain employee and position records for all three payrolls.
To deal with enquiries associated with three payrolls, from the public and customers by telephone, correspondence and in person, dealing with all persons in a compassionate manner and within any set timescales.
In order to meet the payroll deadline, ensuring prioritisation of workload on a daily basis. Undertake time critical monthly processes.

Additional information

Agile working mix of home working and attendance at the office in Guildhall, Swansea.

£26,403 (60% year 1, 75% year 2) - Grade 5 (Scp 7)

Requirements

Skills

Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent numeracy skills.
To be proficient in the aptitude of time management.
Good keyboard skills.
Team player and able to work on own initiative.
Experience of working to deadlines and able to prioritise be able to control large volumes of work accurately and to deadlines.
Good organisational and time management skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload effectively and maintain strict deadlines.

Qualifications

C or above in GSCE English and Maths
