About the apprenticeship

Duties

Repairing and Maintenance
Assist in our manufacture and repair centre, performing hands-on repairs on our in-house and customer-owned inflatable textiles.
Work Environment and Equipment Care
Ensure work areas are organised, clean, and fully prepared for efficient workflow. Maintain sewing machines and equipment, reflecting a strong commitment to quality and professionalism in textiles handling
Data and Quality Tracking
Complete work record sheets to support customer billing and quality. Tracking repairs, giving you insight into how precision in documentation supports client satisfaction
Material Preparation for Textile Production:
Mark and cut PVC material to precise specifications for sewing, a foundational skill for anyone interested in mastering textile cutting and assembly.
Equipment Testing and Safety Checks
Assist with PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) to ensure our equipment remains safe and functional. This role offers an understanding of safety standards essential in high-quality textile production and repair
Supporting Events and Production Teams
Collaborate within our wider company, supporting event preparation and setup as needed. Offering valuable exposure to the dynamic environment of event production, giving you hands-on experience in a setting where textiles and design meet the entertainment industry

Additional information

There is excellent progression post apprenticeship with the opportunity to become a PIPA registered play inspector.
Within the wider company structure there are lots of opportunities to gain experience in event management, driver training, welding and fabrication and other food related experience in our sister company AJ Event Catering Ltd.

An eye for detail and a hands-on approach to learning new techniques in textiles and material handling.
Reliability and commitment to mastering skills that make an impact in both the production and entertainment side of our business.
A strong work ethic with the readiness to handle the physical demands of working with large textile materials in various settings, from repair centres to live event setups
