About the apprenticeship
Duties
Assist with the delivery of PE lessons and sports coaching sessions in primary schools.
Support the planning and organisation of sports activities and games.
Help lead after-school sports clubs.
Encourage participation and positive behaviour from pupils of all abilities.
Set up and pack away sports equipment safely and efficiently.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoyment through physical activity.
Support safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.
Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, parents and colleagues.
Represent Future Stars Coaching Cardiff in a professional manner within schools and the local community.
Attend Apprenticeship training, meetings, and any required CPD opportunities.
Assist with school sports events, competitions and holiday camps where required.

Requirements
Skills
Enthusiastic and passionate about sport and working with children.
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and attitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive, energetic and willing to learn.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Confident supporting groups of children in a school environment.
Basic understanding of sports coaching or physical activity.
Experience working with children in schools, sports clubs, or community settings.
Sports coaching qualifications or first aid qualification.
Knowledge of a range of sports and activities.
Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above in English and Maths
Full UK driving licence and access to transport are desirable
