Duties
• Handle business travel enquiries by phone, email and chat.
• Research and book flights, hotels and rail travel.
• Prepare accurate travel options and quotations.
• Help with amendments, cancellations and after-sales support.
• Maintain accurate traveller and booking records.
• Complete training in business travel, customer service and administration.
Additional information
Ortharize is a Swansea-based business travel company combining modern travel technology with personal customer service. This apprenticeship is an opportunity to start a career in the travel industry while gaining a Level 3 qualification. You will receive practical, on-the-job training from an experienced team and learn how business travel works from enquiry through to booking and after-sales support. The role will give you experience of travel booking systems, customer service, administration and technology. There is potential for progression within the business for the right person following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Requirements
Skills
We are looking for someone friendly, confident and genuinely interested in travel and customer service. You should be comfortable speaking to customers, have strong written communication skills and pay close attention to detail. You will need to be organised, reliable and able to manage several tasks at once without losing accuracy. A positive attitude to learning is essential: we do not expect you to arrive knowing the travel industry, but we do expect curiosity and a willingness to develop. You should be comfortable using technology and enjoy solving problems. We also value people who work well as part of a team, take ownership of their work and are happy to ask questions when unsure.
Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics are desirable. No previous travel-industry experience is required. We are primarily looking for the right attitude, good communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
