About the apprenticeship

Duties

• Preparing attractive menus that meet set standards
• Following specifications to maintain quality and control
• Assist with checking supply levels of ingredients and managing the storage of each of these items
• Preparing and cooking the meals for day
• Cleaning and maintaining all equipment used in the cooking process
• Adhering to hygiene, health and safety regulations whilst instilling a knowledge of allergens, nutrition and diets to cater to the diverse Royal Air Force family.

Additional information

As an apprentice in the RAF you will be trained to play a role in the RAF’s mission to defending the skies of the UK and projecting the UK’s power and influence around the world. You will also be involved with assisting to deliver humanitarian aid around the world as directed by the UK Government.
