About the apprenticeship
Duties
Connah’s Quay High School is an 11-16 English Medium school, proud of its setting in Wales serving the communities of Deeside and surrounding areas. We aim to provide a caring community, which encourages every child to achieve their full potential and develop their social confidence and wellbeing.
Duties include:
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients, equipment, and classrooms for practical food lessons
Support teachers and students during lessons to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
Assist with stock control, ordering, and storage of food supplies
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces after lessons
Support displays and resources within the department
Requirements
Skills
A keen interest in food, cooking, or nutrition
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
A proactive and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and complete an apprenticeship qualification
Basic understanding of hygiene and safety (training will be provided)
