About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Assist qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
• Install and connect solar PV systems, battery storage systems and EV charging equipment under supervision.
• Assist with cable installation, containment, consumer units, protective devices and associated electrical equipment.
• Support the installation of solar panels and mounting systems on domestic and small commercial properties.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning activities under appropriate supervision, while developing knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas, complete relevant job documentation, and follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a broad range of electrical skills while gaining practical experience in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. The apprentice will work alongside experienced electricians on a variety of domestic and commercial projects, including solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop with the business and progress towards becoming a skilled and confident qualified electrician.
