As a Portable Foods Apprentice, you will need to attend and complete a Level 3 programme at Coleg Cambria, full time during your first year and then day release in subsequent years.
You will spend your Apprenticeship at our Wrexham Plant overhauling and repairing various Electrical and Mechanical pieces of equipment, under supervision of a skilled technician. You will also carry out the following tasks:
● Responding to breakdowns, to develop fault finding knowledge.
● Carrying out project work, working alongside days and shift-based engineers.
● Working on electrical systems, pneumatics, PLC, motors, gearboxes and lubrication work.
Additional information
On completion of the programme, you will become a qualified engineer! You will be able to carry out multiple engineering disciplines, supporting your colleagues in production to process our products effectively and efficiently.
We offer ongoing development opportunities for those individuals who are keen to progress and have ambition.
