About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Assist with Purchase Ledgers across multiple companies, including monthly revaluations, control account reconciliations and ledger closings.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) inbox, responding promptly to supplier queries.
• Administer the AP automated invoice system (Kefron), ensuring accurate processing and system configuration.
• Post, allocate and reconcile payments and receipts in SAGE 200; monitor bank balances to support timely payments.
• Process customer purchase invoices through Kefron, auditing for accuracy and implementing automation where possible.
• Match Purchase Order invoices to POs and GRNs, resolving any discrepancies with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
• Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements and manage foreign supplier accounts, including high-value deposits and commercial invoice processing.
• Conduct fortnightly payment runs in multiple currencies and handle ad hoc payments and inter-account transfers as required.
• Maintain SAGE 200 system administration, including PO authorisation groups, service item creation and user support.
• Manage the GRNI process to ensure timely closure of purchase orders.
• Process and allocate customer receipts including obtaining and processing any invoices for deductions.
• Any other tasks required to support the wider team.
Requirements
Skills
The applicants should be computer literate with a reasonable knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly excel and word.
A knowledge of accountancy software packages, in particular Sage, would be an advantage, however appropriate training would be provided.
