An Early Years Apprenticeship at Meadowbank Day Nursery offers you the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification that will help you enjoy a rewarding, worthwhile and fun career in childcare. Our Early Years Apprenticeships develop your knowledge and skills on and off the job, giving you the chance to earn and learn at the same time.
As an Early Years Apprentice you will work and study towards a Level 2 Childcare Play Learning and Development

Skills
• To record accurate information in the children’s daily diaries and monthly
development charts etc
• To monitor child development including identification of child abuse and neglect
• To be aware and adhere to health and safety guidelines
• To ensure that confidentiality and loyalty is demonstrated at all times
• To attend staff meetings
• To undertake training courses that are offered to support future career development
and personal growth
• To promote Meadowbank Day Nursery in a positive way
• To respect different personalities, cultures, beliefs and values
• To understand and adhere to Meadowbank Day Nurseries Policies and procedures at all times
• Liaise and be professional with all parents, visitors and staff
• To promote and participate in teamwork
• Liaise with management and undertake any extra duties as required related to your
position within Meadowbank Day Nursery
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and grooming in relation to self
• Act as a role model for the children, students and staff
• Preparation of wall displays and general care and tidiness of the nursery
environment
• To make all new parents, children and staff comfortable and help them settle into
our culture
• To be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate a positive attitude.
