About the apprenticeship

Duties

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Apprentice to become part of the team in our friendly, successful primary school. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about sports beyond the standard curriculum and acting as a great sporting role-model for our pupils at the school.

As part of the job, you will organise and run safe and enjoyable activities at lunchtimes, support teachers delivering PE and run after school sport activities throughout the week. The hours will be 09:30 - 16:30 - Monday to Friday.

The staff team will be there to support you throughout the Apprenticeship and will be offering additional training courses throughout your time at Ysgol Estyn.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and delivering PE lessons across various sports.
Engage and motivate pupils of all abilities to participate in physical activity.
Help facilitate lunchtime and after-school sports clubs.

Previous experience working with young people in a coaching or educational setting
Strong sporting background
Good organisational skills
Strong communication skills
