About the apprenticeship
Duties
To assist the nursing team in delivering effective care to service users as detailed in individual care plans.
Provide assistance in self-help tasks in such a way that the Service Users who are unable to do those tasks themselves; helping more able Service Users who may also need assistance.
Engage with Service Users to enable participation and choice.
Assist Service Users with personal care.
Assist service users with manual handling.
Completion of documentation on the electronic care system to update Service User records when support is provided (e.g. personal care, changing, meals, etc.).
